The story of SPG Leaders began informally in 2025, through relationships and conversations among procurement professionals who believed that some of the hardest challenges in procurement are best solved by learning from people who have actually faced them.

It started with a simple idea

That procurement professionals shouldn’t have to work it out alone. SPG was born to build a sustainable global community — one where people don’t just connect, but learn, share and grow together.

For years, that spirit lived through trusted professional relationships and informal conversations.

In 2025, that community was formally brought together as SPG Leaders — with a clear ambition to create a more structured, practitioner-led platform for procurement and supply chain leadership.

The belief remains the same:

The right people, in the right room, can solve problems that no presentation can.

What SPG does

Today, SPG brings practitioners together around real problems, honest conversations and practical experience — creating spaces where leaders can exchange what worked, what didn’t, challenge assumptions and sharpen their thinking.

As procurement operates in a world that is increasingly Fragmented, Interconnected, Kinetic and Ambiguous — FIKA, leaders need more than frameworks and generic advice. They need trusted people who understand the context and can help them think through what comes next.
